And Now a Word from the "Who's Kidding Who" Department

Now someone's claiming that Karl Rove learned about Valerie Plame's identity as a CIA undercover operative from Robert Novak, not the other way round.

In other words, Robert Novak somehow knew that Ms. Plame was a spy, and informed Karl Rove of that interesting fact in the middle of a friendly telephone chat.

Benshlomo says, Oh well, I spent too much time digesting my breakfast anyway.

Mr. Novak who is a seasoned and respected journalist did his patriotic duty and informed an important official in the Bush Administration that Valerie Palme was a covert CIA Officer. Rove of course was shocked...shocked that Palme was a member of the CIA. Mercy me, is this how Washington works? Said Rove. God Bless you and thank you on behalf of the President said Rove to Novak. Now the American people can sleep soundly knowing that you as a journalist knew more about our government's most closely guarded secrets than myself, who just works at White House.
